Cielo d’ottobre [HD] (1999) in streaming su altadefinizione A Coalwood, nel West Virginia, tutti i ragazzi sono destinati a diventare minatori. Troppo basso per ottenere una borsa di studio per meriti sportivi, Homer sembra non avere alcuna chance di sfuggire al suo destino. Fino a quando un giorno il satellite sovietico Sputnik non attraversa il cielo d'ottobre cambiando le cose. Così, con l'aiuto di tre amici, il ragazzo decide di costruire un razzo e lanciarlo nello spazio.
Incredibile ma vero: trattasi di storia realmente accaduta. Homer Hickman è oggi un addestratore di astronauti specializzati nelle missioni dello Shuttle. Il film di Johnston è un commovente, amorevole omaggio a tutti gli utopisti della storia. Tra "Stand by Me" e Cronin-Majano ("E le stelle stanno a guardare"). E un animo tuckeriano che farà piangere anche Coppola. Perché è il sogno che conta.
