La fonte meravigliosa (1949) in streaming su altadefinizione L'architetto individualista e idealista Howard Roark viene espulso dal college perché i suoi progetti non si adattano al pensiero architettonico esistente. Sembra disoccupato, ma alla fine ottiene un lavoro con Henry Cameron, che la pensa allo stesso modo, tuttavia nel giro di pochi anni Cameron si beve a morte, avvertendo Roark che lo stesso destino lo attende a meno che non comprometta i suoi ideali. Roark è determinato a mantenere la sua integrità artistica a tutti i costi.
Il film è basato sull'omonimo romanzo bestseller del 1943 di Ayn Rand, che ha anche scritto l'adattamento della sceneggiatura. Sebbene la sceneggiatura di Rand sia stata utilizzata con modifiche minime, in seguito ha criticato il montaggio, la scenografia e la recitazione.
