La Grande Scommessa [HD] (2015) in streaming su altadefinizione Michael Burry, un eccentrico ex medico diventato gestore di hedge fund, passa dal suo abito da ufficio tradizionale a pantaloncini, piedi nudi e un taglio di capelli Supercuts. Ritenendo che il mercato immobiliare statunitense fosse costruito su una bolla, Burry scommette contro di esso con le banche che credono che sia pazzo. Jared Vennett di Deutschebank viene a sapere cosa sta facendo e una telefonata sbagliata porta quelle informazioni alle mani di Mark Baum, un idealista che, insieme ai suoi soci di Morgan Stanley, decide di unire le forze con Vennett.
